Networking Spotlight On ...

... Meetups!

For many months, I've been mentioning in my Schedule information that I will be at the monthly Triangle AreaTarot Meetup, which I organize.

Do you know about Meetups? Started in 2002, Meetup is the world's largest network of local groups. The idea behind Meetup is to use the power of the Internet to help people find one another, but then meet locally. In person! For "a little less face-to-screen and a little more face-to-face."

All over the world, Meetup groups have formed around favorite dog breeds, ways of life, beliefs, games, business networking, intellectual pursuits, arts and crafts, spiritual paths, political candidates, and much, much more.

There are currently 52,544 Meetup Groups around the world, with 4.7 million members focusing on about 3,668 different interests.

More than 2,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities. Here in the Raleigh-Durham area, on any given day, there are between 30 to 80 Meetups happening.

In areas which see rapid growth or a big influx of newcomers, it can be difficult to find your new, true friends. But with Meetup, you can get together easily with people who have the same interests and passions as you.

And of course, if you are interested in Tarot, there over 100 Tarot Meetups around the world. Wherever you live, you are warmly welcome to join our group, which is a mix of both local and internationally known Tarotists.

While some Meetups charge a nominal fee for attending their events, ours does not. And simply joining Meetup is free and unlimited. I hope you'll check some out today.
