In the past several months, I’ve offered you a number of tips for finding a good reader and some general ideas for how to get the most from a reading or intuitive consultation.
This month, I'm going to shed some light on how to ask for the answers you really need, and how to get details that are specific, clear, and that you can put to use right away!
According to a recent article by K. Stone, "One of the most effective ways to achieve success is to ask yourself the right questions. When we ask ourselves a question, we always come up with some kind of answer.
"Ask yourself 'Why does this always happen to me?' and you’ll get an answer. But if you ask yourself 'How can I have a great day today?' you’ll also get an answer.
"Which answer is going to empower you more? You got it. So why not ask yourself smart questions that will make you happier, more confident, more powerful, and more successful?"
This is exactly how to make the most of an intuitive reading. I have previously recommended that you discuss the issues you are concerned about with your reader, rather than testing them, or hoping for the thrill of having your mind read. If you seek entertainment, that is fine, but if you want to get real-life results, a candid discussion with your reader is the way to go!
So before your appointment, decide on your intention. Ground yourself; invoke whatever good energies you are comfortable calling upon.
Bear in mind you don't need everything worded perfectly! Most good readers are excellent communicators and are glad to help you find the words that will give you the most clarity on the issues at hand.
But if you prepare for your reading by prioritizing the subjects you'd like to cover, and narrow down the scope of each, you can make the most of your allotted time (and budget!).
For instance, asking "Will this, or that happen?" implies there is a preordained fate, and we're at the mercy of it. Instead, I would help you identify what you want to see happen, then use the cards as a roadmap, or instructional guide to help you make sure that it does.
Readings can be very pragmatic, specific and clear, and useful in ways you might not have realized! Next month, I'll show you some examples of how to make good questions into smart questions.
