Networking Spotlight On ...

Joanna Powell Colbert's
Gaian Tarot

There is fantastic news this month, both for Tarot people, and for all who seek a more deeply connected relationship with Mystery and our beloved Mother Earth.

Joanna Powell Colbert, writer, artist and visionary leader in the Goddess traditions for many decades, has signed a contract with Llewellyn Worldwide, who will be publishing her glorious Tarot deck, The Gaian Tarot.

Many of you who have had readings with me, or who are in the Raleigh-Durham Tarot Meetup, are quite familiar with her Majors-only version of the deck, which has been available as a self-published deck for several years.

Now, the full 78-card deck will be more widely available to the public as a boxed set, complete with her beautiful accompanying book.

The Gaian Tarot celebrates the living Earth and combines multicultural Goddesses and other numinous beings with the mysteries of the natural world. Each image features birds, animals, plants, trees, rocks, constellations and other aspects of nature that amplify the meaning of the card.

With its structure rooted in Tarot tradition, the Gaian Tarot is the perfect deck for those who honor Gaia, the Earth, as a living, sentient being and who practice an earth-centered spirituality.

Although we will have to wait a couple of years due to Llewellyn's very full publishing schedule, Joanna is considering offering a collector's version in the meantime, to any who might be interested.

To learn more about Joanna and this beautiful and powerful deck, please

And be sure to sign up for her newsletter (here's a recent example), where you'll find a treasure trove of wisdom, beauty and goodies!
